Lovely place! Great good and drinks

Historically interesting place Ladenburg was discovered by us by bike, thus "Zum Ochsen". No problem finding a seat at 5:45 p.m. Almost 1 hour later: There is food at all tables (under AHA rules)! Trout from the Odenwald = delicious starter. The careful service brought 2 plates. "Schlemmertopf", "Badisches favorite dish" - highly recommended, especially for those with a big appetite. If you don't make it, what you haven't eaten will be wrapped up. 1 Licher beer, glass of wine rounded off 1.5 hours of cultivated hospitality!

Nice and very friendly service, regional dishes e.g. B. Palatinate Saumagen grilled with sauerkraut and puree - as with nuts - portions generous. Super. ..... 👍👍

Breaded schnitzel with fried potatoes. Only bad. The fried potatoes were mushy and fatty, the schnitzel was dry. No pleasure at all.

Food is good, the service does not wear a mask properly during Corona time and there is smoking in the counter area. We will definitely not be back!

Very nice and cozy restaurant in the middle of the pleasant Ladenburg. The service is very friendly, menu cards in German and English. We had a WienerSchnitzel and Cordon Bleu, both served with a delicious salad, with a tasty dressing. Local Licher beer a must. We were less than € 33 for this! Definitely recommended delicious food for a nice price with friendly service!

We have rarely eaten so badly. The potato salad turned out to be a mashed potato mash, the fried potatoes were soaked due to drowning in cooked cheese and were no longer crispy and the cutlets were extremely chewy. Only the service was very friendly and tried hard, just a shame that they could not present better dishes.

Potato salad good, Schnitzel unfortunately not ... Spontaneous visit in the evening, also because I was the "ox" recommended: supposedly huge portions, good home cooking. A good reason to try it. Ordered: pork schnitzel with potato salad for € 8,90. The portion big, so a fair offer. Unfortunately not a good one. The potato salad (warm) was good, the Schnitzel (2 pieces) looked as if it had been too short in too cold fat / oil. It always happens when the cook thinks it must go as fast as possible - in fact I do not even have five! Waiting for minutes. Not crispy (as well), the schnitzel was more than strange in taste: the breading was spicy (ready spicy?), The meat had almost no taste in itself, was a bit rubbery and felt like convenience food and / or fresh from the freezer, thawed in the microwave, briefly thrown into too cold oil - served, done. If it had not been otherwise in the menu, I had sworn, they served me a meat substitute product. At least the service was very nice and offered to my complaint because of the taste, not to charge my two beers - but I had to pay the schnitzel. It may be that other food tastes better (or at all), I'll probably try it a second time and will report ;-)

Very nice placed. The food was very good and more then enough. The service was very friendly and the food was in no time served. Which is very nice when eating alone on business or when you dont want to spend to much time eating.
